We love sitting on the Many Glacier porch overlooking Switcurrent Lake. My dad says it's better than sitting in the room, although we have incredible views from the cabin too. Really, beauty is everywhere here!!
We went over to have a drink on the porch and for Robert to ride his 'one wheel' around.
The rain came in pretty heavy for a few hours while we were there and this was right after our Iceberg Lake hike. We made it back from hiking just in time!
No sooner did we get a prime spot on the deck overlooking Swiftcurrent lake it started raining. We were under the awning so we tried to brave it out, but it started blowing and pouring so we went in. Tried to wait it out to no avail.
We then decided to go look for animals and take a drive through the Many Glacier area- they don't mind the rain right?! It started clearing up as we drove around- no animals btw. We hiked down to a waterfall near Many Glacier and started to see the sun again right before sunset.
I was even able to throw my kayak in Swiftcurrent Lake to finish watching the sunset. My dad and Robert stayed on shore skipping rocks. Me in the kayak, them skipping rocks?! Hmmm??
We didn't bring the kayaks all this way not to use them right?! Hauling them took off 4 or 5 miles per gallon!
Even got to see the sun shine through the hole of the thin Ptarmagin Headwall.
The end to another great day at Glacier ❤️
